As a Meat Butcher / Meat Cutter, you are the skilled professional behind the counter — upholding our standards, supporting the team, and ensuring every customer leaves confident in their purchase. Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Minimum 1-2 years of butcher or meat cutting experience in a retail or commercial setting required
  • Strong knowledge of meat cuts and safe handling practices
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Basic math and reading skills (weights, pricing, portioning)
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Team player with a positive, service-oriented attitude
  • A passion for craftsmanship and serving people

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service by offering product knowledge, answering questions, and making personalized suggestions
  • Cut, bone, trim, and grind meats according to company standards and customer specifications
  • Prepare and package meats for both service counter and self-service displays
  • Weigh, wrap, label, and price products accurately
  • Maintain product freshness through regular rotation and quality checks
  • Restock and rotate displays to ensure visual appeal and freshness
  • Take and fulfill special orders with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Store meats in refrigerators and freezers at required temperatures
  • Clean and maintain prep areas, cases, and equipment to uphold health and sanitation standards
  • Operate department equipment including knives, band saws, grinders, scales, and wrapping machines safely and efficiently
  • Assist with other tasks as assigned
