About The Position

Under general supervision, performs a variety of duties related to the meat department and assists in fulfilling customer orders at the meat counter with professional and efficient service. This position will be primarily evening/closing shift, with one mandatory weekend day (either Saturday or Sunday).

Requirements

• Demonstrates proper phone etiquette while taking orders/messages
• Ability to write legibly and read with comprehension at a level where it applies to this position
• Ability to provide assistance to deli and seafood departments as needed

Responsibilities

• Prepares, packages, and prices product as directed
• Assists customers with orders placed at meat counter
• Stocks and rotates merchandise as directed
• Monitors and maintain quality control standards
• Comfortable with using and handling knives, meat slicers, etc.
• Abides by food safety best practices
• Maintains a current knowledge of product
• Provides excellent customer service
• Abides by Westborn Market’s time and attendance policy
• Maintains a clean and organized work area free of hazards
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
