Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimal directly relevant training and experience.
  • Valid Driver’s License required.
  • Able to perform physically demanding tasks in all weather conditions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
  • Proficient in standard office software.
  • Experience with communication systems and gas odorant equipment is a plus.
  • Familiarity with general network and communication equipment, including:
  • Switches and routers
  • Phone systems (VoIP or traditional)
  • Fiber and copper cabling
  • Comfortable using and troubleshooting standard computer systems and software.
  • Basic understanding of network infrastructure and connectivity principles.
  • Ability to identify and resolve common hardware and connectivity issues.

Responsibilities

  • Perform gas flow and meter calculations.
  • Test, inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot various meters (positive displacement, rotary, turbine, orifice, ultrasonic).
  • Maintain and troubleshoot pressure regulators, control valves, relief valves, and other pressure-limiting devices.
  • Work with pneumatic control devices, RTUs, EGM systems, and gas analyzers (chromatographs, water vapor, sulfur, H₂S, oxygen).
  • Conduct routine odorizer maintenance, set injection rates, and report odorant usage and concentration.
  • Learn and achieve qualifications for the maintenance, repair, and monitoring of gas odorant systems.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair communication equipment for stations, tower sites, and M/R (meter/regulator) stations.
  • Operate and maintain power supply systems.
  • Identify pipe, valves, and fittings using mechanical/electronic measurement tools.
  • Ensure electrical installations meet applicable codes and standards.
  • Install small-diameter instrument piping and tubing per specifications.
  • Accurately complete reports and write gas handling procedures.
  • Consistently adhere to safety protocols and actively participate in safety programs.
