About The Position

The Measurement Tech, Level 1-4 position is responsible for the installation, maintenance, operation, and accuracy of all natural gas and/or liquid measurement and control facilities. The role involves ensuring the proper functioning of measurement systems and compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Associates degree in a technical field is preferred.
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in a related field.
  • Basic computer skills of MS Office, operating systems, company software.
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals).
  • Working knowledge of the National Electric Codes.
  • Knowledge and experience in safe handling practices of flammable gases, liquids, and high-pressure systems.
  • Knowledge with electronic test instruments.
  • Knowledge of gas and liquid chromatography.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and electronic equipment used in gas and liquid product measurement and control.
  • Knowledge of AGA, API, and GPA measurement standards.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and meet company insurability requirements.

  • May be required to possess a commercial driver's license and comply with all commercial vehicle regulations.
  • May be required to achieve and maintain certifications as required to perform job duties.
  • Required to successfully complete a background check and drug screening prior to being hired.

Responsibilities

  • Install, inspect, test, adjust, maintain, operate, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and remove advanced measurement, control and regulation equipment, SCADA and quality equipment.
  • Detect measurement error and correct volumes as needed and provide supporting documentation.
  • Monitor gas and liquid product volumes through the measurement system, ensure all corrections are applied and proper qualities are applied.
  • Interpret and apply electrical and electronic schematics pertaining to EFM and measurement electronics.
  • Assess all facets of assigned facilities to ensure accurate measurement and maintain the company lost and unaccounted for gas and product.
  • Perform audits of custody transfer and control data when necessary.
  • Responsible for the general upkeep and maintenance of all facilities and equipment as needed.
  • Oversee the construction and/or maintenance activities performed by third parties.
  • Identify, report, and correct safety and environmental concerns.
  • Complete appropriate documentation and paperwork.
  • Perform all work in compliance with Company standards, procedures, and regulatory and tariff requirements.
  • Demonstrate performance toward operational excellence.
  • Regular and predictable attendance.
  • Other duties as assigned.
