Requirements

  • Technical Degree or equivalent field experience
  • 5+ years experience with Rosemount products is preferred
  • Familiarity with Rosemont and Micro Motion
  • Familiarity with Foxboro, Endress&Hauser, Yokogawa, and other instrumentation
  • Ability to use hand and power tools, including drills, saws, shovels, picks, wrenches, tube benders and tube cutters
  • Understand instrumentation and be able to read blueprints
  • Understand and be able to perform electrical work; 480V experience is preferred
  • Ability to work with electrical conduit and fittings is a plus
  • Be proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Familiarity with TCP/IP, networking fundamentals, Modbus, RS232/485, and Hart communications
  • Experience managing customer projects and working independently
  • Current driver’s license
  • Proficient with MS Office suite
  • Ability to work any overtime that is required to complete a particular assignment (occasional weekend work)
  • Ability to travel out of town and work in the field when required

Responsibilities

  • Support customers in process control instrumentation and equipment startup with focus on flow measurement equipment
  • Verify, troubleshoot and resolve instrumentation and equipment communications
  • Inspect instrument wiring, power and grounding of installation
  • Set up instruments with Hart 475 field communicator
  • Work with onsite installation crew
  • Replace/install instrumentation and equipment
  • Troubleshoot failed instruments and equipment
  • Develop solutions to resolve instrumentation and equipment problems
  • Calibration of measurement and flow transmitters
  • Providing clear and effective documentation of services provided to customers
