About The Position

Support SEICAA’s Meals on Wheels (MOW) division by performing transportation operations and assisting with everyday tasks.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with diverse and vulnerable populations.
  • Experience driving in adverse weather and/or road conditions.
  • Knowledge of pick-up and delivery operations.
  • Knowledge of food hygiene, rotation of perishable items, food temperature maintenance, and food preparation.
  • Knowledge of Idaho traffic laws.
  • Knowledge of general vehicle maintenance.
  • Knowledge of SEICAA services.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
  • Need assessment skills.
  • Computer skills; Familiarity with typical office technologies.
  • Clerical skills (recordkeeping, data entry, compliance, etc.).
  • Vehicle maintenance scheduling and upkeep skills.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills; the ability to communicate clearly.
  • Organized, attention to detail, and punctual.
  • Self-directed; Can work independently and in a team; Can establish working relationships with Agency employees, the public, and partners; Follows instructions; Follows policies and procedures; Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Ability to operate vehicles and maintain a good driving record.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects with effective time management skills.
  • Ability to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodations without endangering self or others.
  • Bondable, insurable under SEICAA’s insurance policy, and maintain a valid driver’s license.
  • Able to attend meetings or training opportunities to enhance expertise and performance as scheduled.
  • Willing to travel on Agency business at Agency reimbursement rates.
  • Able to occasionally lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Must successfully pass mandatory pre-employment drug and background screening.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver meals to participants in accordance with established routes and guidelines.
  • Assess participant status as needed, including medical conditions, physical health, or need for other services.
  • Maintain cleanliness and maintenance of agency vehicles, including internal, external, and cargo areas.
  • Professionally maintain contact and relationships with staff, participants, partners, etc.
  • Handle cash receipts; Data entry; Recordkeeping; Record management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
