The Walker Department of Mechanical Engineering is looking for a student technician to join the ME Information Technology team to assist with IT requests within the department. In this role, you will gain valuable, in-demand technology skills to apply to future employment. This is a hands-on role ideal for students eager to build real-world IT skills in a collaborative environment supporting faculty and staff in the Walker Department of Mechanical Engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with IT ticket triage and initial response.
  • Maintain computer fleet including imaging and deploying new computers, hardware upgrades and repairs, as well as inventory cleanup and surplus old equipment
  • General troubleshooting of IT issues and documentation.
  • Work with senior IT staff on special projects.
  • Other IT duties as assigned.
