About The Position

The MDTA Entry Level Police Officer position is an entry-level trainee role in law enforcement and security for the Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA). The role involves completing a training program and upholding the laws of the State of Maryland on properties under MDTA's jurisdiction. Officers may work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays, and are considered essential employees subject to emergency call-back procedures.

Requirements

• Graduation from a standard high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
• Must be at least 21 years of age by the completion of the MDTA Police Training Academy.
• Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator's license in the State of Maryland.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Successful completion of a complete background investigation, including a check of criminal history.
• Pass an oral interview, medical examination, and a polygraph examination.

Responsibilities
