The RN MDS Nurse is responsible for completing and submitting accurate and timely MDS Assessments, CCAs, and Care Plans according to CMS RAI Manual Regulations and in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards. This position requires a strong understanding of geriatric nursing and the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. The RN MDS Nurse will also be responsible for educating direct care associates regarding updates or changes to the CMS RAI Manual or Skilled Nursing Facility Regulations that impact documentation. This role is essential in ensuring that all assessments are completed accurately and submitted in a timely manner, which is critical for the facility's compliance and operational success.
