The MDS Coordinator (also known as the Resident Assessment Coordinator, RAC) is responsible for the overall management of the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process, including timely and accurate completion of the Minimum Data Set (MDS) and Care Area Assessments (CAAs). This role ensures compliance with all federal (CMS/OBRA), state, and local regulations to support resident care planning, quality measures, and appropriate reimbursement (Case Mix/RUG-IV/PDPM). As a department head, this role also provides supervision and guidance to other MDS personnel. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Come join our family of caregivers!
