NO DM's Please Location: Nashville, TN or Remote across the US Apply to: [email protected] Overview We are seeking an experienced MDM Functional Analyst with strong functional expertise in Master Data Management (MDM) processes and hands-on experience with Simplain . The ideal candidate has worked extensively across product, vendor, customer, and/or location data domains and brings a heavy focus on MDM validation, testing, and data quality within complex, integrated enterprise environments. This role requires a senior-level functional analyst who can bridge business requirements and technical execution while ensuring accurate, governed data across downstream systems.
Requirements
- 8+ years of hands-on experience working in Master Data Management (MDM) environments.
- Strong functional understanding of MDM processes, data governance, and stewardship models .
- Direct experience with Simplain , including configuration validation, data flows, and testing.
- Proven experience in MDM testing (functional, integration, regression, and data reconciliation).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify root causes of data issues.
- Experience working with large datasets, complex data models, and multi-system integrations .
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across business and technical teams.
- Background in retail, CPG, supply chain, or merchandising environments.
Nice To Haves
- Experience integrating Simplain with ERP and planning systems .
- Exposure to test automation tools or scripting (Selenium, Python, etc.).
- Experience supporting large-scale MDM implementations or transformations.
Responsibilities
- Lead and execute MDM functional, integration, regression, and data validation testing across multiple master data domains.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional specifications, data mappings, and detailed test cases .
- Validate data quality rules, governance workflows, and approval processes within Simplain.
- Ensure accurate and timely data integration between Simplain and downstream systems (ERP, planning, merchandising, supply chain platforms, etc.).
- Identify data issues, log defects, and partner with technical teams to drive resolution.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and guide business users through test execution and validation.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation including test scripts, mapping logic, scenarios, and defect tracking .
- Provide senior-level functional insight and contribute to MDM process optimization and best practices .
