About The Position

The Managing Director of Global Solution Design, reporting into the Head of Global Solution and Product Strategy, is responsible for driving the success of our solutions, translating client needs into solutions and servings as a Subject Matter Expert to clients. This is a strategic leadership role that requires a deep understanding of the contingent workforce industry, exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, and a unique combination of technical proficiency, sales acumen, an innovation mindset, and strong client engagement skills. The Managing Director of Global Solution Design aligned to the overall organization and function strategy, will play a crucial role in shaping establishing thought leadership, and elevating client experiences, driving continued growth and success in our industry. This expertise will contribute to the organization's ability to deliver innovative solutions to clients and maintain a competitive edge in a dynamic market.

Requirements

  • Management: 7+ years of External Workforce Solutions experience on a large scale and progressive experience leading teams with a proven track record in solution design, sales engineering, and contingent workforce implementation or program management
  • Industry: Knowledge and expertise of MSP and broad talent trends and challenges
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Drive process, technology and solution innovation to improve quality, efficiency, scalability and client experience.
  • Shape global solution design methodologies and ensure offerings remain competitive as market dynamics and technology evolve.
  • Influence revenue growth by strengthening win strategies, solution messaging and scope definition for priority pursuits.
  • Reduce risk and improve outcomes by embedding compliance, regulatory awareness and best-practice program optimization into solutioning.
  • Serve as the go-to subject matter expert across workforce solutions technologies (e.g., VMS, direct sourcing, shift management, talent assessment and emerging platforms).
  • Provide second-level review of pursuit content, enhancing quality while coaching proposal writers and sales executives.
  • Deliver client-facing workshops, training sessions and executive briefings to translate best practice into actionable change.
  • Mentor and coach team members on solutions strategy, technology, regulatory requirements and service delivery standards.
  • Partner with Head of Global Solution and Product Strategy to align solution design priorities with business goals and organisational strategy.
  • Collaborate with technology and product teams to influence roadmaps, enhancements and adoption approaches.
  • Engage directly with key clients and prospects as a trusted advisor, building executive-level relationships.
  • Represent the organization at industry events, conferences and seminars, building thought leadership and strategic partnerships.
  • Manage, inspire and lead team of staff and/or consultants committed to exceptional client experience.
  • Set clear performance goals and expectations; monitor progress with regular feedback, coaching and development support.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and manage performance improvement plans, including disciplinary matters where needed.
  • Create an inclusive, high-performing team culture focused on excellence, continuous learning and knowledge sharing.
  • Delegate effectively and manage workloads to deliver against priorities while supporting wellbeing and sustainable pace.
  • Handle conflict resolution promptly and professionally, maintaining trust and accountability across the team.
  • Review active pursuits and client engagements, shaping solution strategy, key messages and scope with sales and delivery leaders.
  • Lead solution design working sessions to solve client challenges and produce tailored, high-quality outputs.
  • Coach managers and team members, unblock delivery issues, and ensure priorities and workloads are clear.
  • Meet with product/technology stakeholders to assess emerging platforms (including generative AI use cases) and translate insights into solution improvements.
  • Prepare for and deliver client workshops, briefings or training; capture feedback and drive follow-up actions.
  • Stay current on market trends and regulatory changes, advising internal stakeholders on implications and risk mitigation.
