About The Position

Emplify Health by Gundersen is recruiting for a BC/BE Corneal, Cataract and Refractive surgeon to take over a busy and established practice. The ideal candidate would be interested in all corneal surgeries including corneal crosslinking, refractive and complex cataracts, and refractive surgery including Lasik and PRK. Shared call is 1:10 with board-certified Ophthalmologists on staff. We are a full-service ophthalmology department with comprehensive ophthalmologists as well as subspecialists including glaucoma, retina, pediatrics and oculoplastics. The Emplify Eye Department provides the latest in technology and equipment. We are a well-established, thriving and collegial group. Since we provide care to large regional area, we see a wide variety of pathology in a diverse patient population. We ensure state-of-the-art eye care to the citizens of southwest Wisconsin, southeast Minnesota and northeast Iowa.

Requirements

• Must have completed an accredited graduate medical training program.
• Must be board certified or eligible in the area of medicine stated.
• Must have or be able to obtain a license to practice in the multi-state region with no restrictions or limitations.

Responsibilities

• Perform corneal surgeries including corneal crosslinking.
• Conduct refractive and complex cataract surgeries.
• Engage in refractive surgery including Lasik and PRK.
• Participate in shared call with board-certified Ophthalmologists.
• Supervise advanced practice clinicians.
• Provide outreach service as part of the role in the system.
• Teach students, residents, fellows or clinical staff.
