About The Position
UNC Physicians Network (UNCPN) and UNC Women's Health at Smithfield & Clayton, located in Smithfield, NC & Clayton, NC, are currently seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible (BC/BE) Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician to join their group full-time. This position offers the opportunity to provide expertise and patient-centered care for women of all ages and stages. The OB services provided include both routine prenatal and postpartum care, while the Gynecology services encompass a wide range of offerings from routine yearly examinations to comprehensive evaluation and treatment of various gynecologic disorders. The organization is committed to delivering high-quality care tailored to meet the needs of the community. The qualified candidate will work at two clinic locations in Smithfield and Clayton, NC, which are situated southeast of Raleigh, NC. The role also involves working at two hospital campuses for deliveries and surgeries: UNC Health Johnston - Smithfield, which features a Level II Nursery, and UNC Health Johnston - Clayton, which has a Level I Nursery. In cases where an infant requires intensive care, they will be transitioned to UNC REX - Raleigh or UNC Medical Center - Chapel Hill. The practice averages 600 annual deliveries for the UNCPN group, with a total of 2000 annual deliveries for UNC Health Johnston - Smithfield/Clayton, including a private group in the county. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, with assigned weekend call, and the call is shared at a ratio of 1:6. The electronic medical record system used is EPIC.
