About The Position

Leads the enterprise-wide platform engineering agenda, spanning modern platforms, data engineering, and system development. Accountable for building scalable, reliable, and secure platforms that accelerate product delivery and enable advanced analytics. Champions modernization by transforming legacy application-based services into reusable, enterprise-grade tools—or retiring them where appropriate—to improve agility, reduce cost, and strengthen business impact

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field
• Ten (10) years of progressive experience in data engineering, platform engineering or related roles
• Proven track record managing cross-functional teams responsible for platform, data and system engineering at enterprise scale
• Strong expertise in data platforms, ETL/ELT (Extract, Transform, Load/Extract, Load, Transform) pipelines, streaming architectures and integration with analytics and operational systems
• Experience overseeing modernization of legacy systems into reusable, scalable data services
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, real-time data processing, personalization engines and emerging technologies such as GenAI
• Strategic thinking to shape enterprise data and platform capabilities that support business objectives and innovation
• Leadership and influencing skills to align and motivate cross-functional engineering teams and stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Set and drive the vision for platform and data engineering, ensuring platforms are resilient, scalable, and fit for future business needs
• Lead modernization initiatives to simplify the technology estate, decommissioning redundant systems and replacing them with reusable, high-value tools and services
• Establish and enforce engineering standards for security, compliance, and data quality across all platforms and services
• Partner with senior business and technology leaders to shape priorities, optimize investments, and maximize the value delivered by platform capabilities
• Recruit, mentor, develop, and evaluate high-performing teams, fostering technical growth, innovation, and continuous improvement
• Perform other duties as assigned
