Position Summary The Volunteer Coordinator recruits, interview, train and onboard new volunteers and contractors of MCSO. This position process background checks and maintains a database of persons who provide contracted and/or volunteer services for MCSO. This position also provides notary services for staff and MCSO residents, purchases and distributes recreation equipment and provides administrative support for the Programs Department.

Requirements

  • Experience with volunteer administration and management
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (G.E.D.)

Responsibilities

  • Provide internal support for the onboarding process for volunteers, contractors, and community partners of MCSO
  • Provide facility tours for new volunteers, contractors and community partners
  • Fulfill RMA requests for the indigent population and delivers the requested for hygiene and toiletry products
  • Provide resources to residents in general housing as requested in the RMA
  • Upload resources and information concerning programs onto the resident tablets
  • Maintain databases for all volunteers, contractors and community partners and track compliance with training requirements
  • Support and maintain the resident incentive programs according to the policies and procedures of the MCSO Program Department
  • Maintain inventory and deliver recreation items to MCSO housing units according to the policies and procedures of the MCSO Program Department
  • Capture data and prepare reports for requested areas of responsibility
  • Provide notary services for residents in assigned areas within MCSO
  • Moderate virtual program classes for MCSO residents through online platform
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders via email and telephone
  • Collaborate with ACA staff to maintain compliance with ACA standards as related to volunteers.
