MCRT Master's Level Therapist
About The Position
The Mobile Crisis Response Team (MCRT) Master's Level Therapist functions as a team member within a multi-agency team in the delivery of crisis intervention services. This role involves providing initial screening and necessary triage for immediate response to mental health crisis calls for the purpose of evaluation, lethality/risk assessment, and mental status examinations, and determining the necessary level of care for identified clients. The therapist also acts as a resource for local law enforcement agencies and local crisis hotlines. The position requires the ability to work in crisis situations and make clinical decisions with minimal direction, and is capable of navigating telemedicine when indicated.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in social worker, mental health counseling, or marriage and family therapy and/or certification in the field of addictions
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and utilize sound clinical judgment
- Familiar with Florida Baker Act laws
- Eligibility through a Level II background screening with AHCA and DCF
