About The Position
The MCJROTC Instructor or Senior Instructor at SHHS is responsible for providing an educational atmosphere that fosters intellectual leadership and physical skills in alignment with the goals of the district and the Marine Corps Junior Reserves Officer Training Corps. The instructor will meet and exceed the program requirements and expectations set by MCJROTC and Worcester County Public Schools, teaching a prescribed four-year curriculum and instructing students in military drills. The role includes counseling students, writing and updating lesson plans, mentoring cadets, and planning extracurricular activities. The instructor will also prepare reports on program administration, recruit new cadets, and maintain relationships with civic groups and school faculty. Continuous professional development through military training and courses is expected, along with maintaining financial accounts of the operating budget.
