Our Mechanical Engineering team leads in the design, development, and production of radar, sonar, torpedo, and combat system equipment. The Air Defense Ground Equipment (ADGE) Department is looking for a full-time on-site Mechanical Engineer to join the MCAD (Mechanical Computer-Aided Design) team in Tewksbury, MA. This role involves mechanical design, development, and documentation of components and systems for defense equipment, requiring collaboration with various engineering and non-technical disciplines.

  • Perform mechanical design, development, and documentation of components, sub-assemblies, and major end items for defense system equipment.
  • Interface with other engineering disciplines, non-technical disciplines, and suppliers to develop design solutions and resolve technical challenges.
  • Support product integration domestically and internationally.
  • Support development, evaluation, and analysis of mechanical designs.
  • Generate drawings, release drawings, and incorporate drawing changes.
  • Resolve change requests from manufacturing or suppliers.
  • Hold design reviews and resolve action items.
  • Develop rework and/or modification procedures.
  • Support the production floor by collecting issues, providing status, and participating in problem resolution.
  • Utilize CREO CAD tool for modeling and documentation creation.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Engineering project experience.
  • 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • 3.0 cumulative GPA desired.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
