About The Position

McWane Ductile New Jersey is an industry leader in manufacturing water distribution and infrastructure products. As our country expanded, so did the need to supply growing cities with clean water and safely remove wastewater. Our location history starts in 1865 when Warren Foundry and Machine Company casted stoves, steam engines, mill gearing and other foundry related items. Currently we specialize in the casting of iron ductile pipes that range from 3" to 24" in diameter.

Requirements

  • Must be able to interact with all personnel levels.
  • Must work with others in a professional, respectful manner.
  • Ability to read policies and procedures.
  • Ability to follow all work directives and safety procedures.
  • Must be a self-starter.
  • Must be able to read and understand English.

Responsibilities

  • Clean pig bed and transfer ladle pits and any other areas assigned by supervisor.
  • Work with supervisor if ladles need to be repaired before the production run.
  • Communicate with supervisors on issues that arise.
  • Ensure all machines are clean and ready for production time startups.
  • Ensure ladles are on machines in a timely manner to meet time hacks for production machine startups.
  • Follow cleanup check sheets and hand to finishing department on a nightly basis.
  • Coordinate with supervisors when issues arise on machines.
  • Assist in signing lockout/tagout (LOTO) forms for maintenance employees.
  • Complete monthly safety requirements and safety paperwork assigned from all departments.
