About The Position

The Operations Consultant at McDonald's is responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction to company-owned restaurants, focusing on people development and enhancing restaurant operations. This role aims to maximize long-term sales and profits while ensuring outstanding quality, service, cleanliness, and customer experience. The consultant will work closely with restaurant teams to implement McDonald's values and operational standards, driving employee engagement and performance improvement.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous field operations experience in the QSR space is highly preferred.
  • Proven project management implementation skills.
  • Strong people and relationship management skills.
  • Proven experience influencing and obtaining great results through others.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, coaching, and strategic direction to restaurant teams.
  • Maximize long-term sales and profits of each restaurant.
  • Ensure outstanding Quality/Service/Cleanliness (QSC) and customer experience.
  • Build positive business relationships with key customers and restaurant leadership teams.
  • Champion the McDonald's People Promise and drive employee commitment surveys.
  • Ensure adequate staffing through quality hiring and retention.
  • Oversee reward and recognition programs for restaurant staff.
  • Ensure resources are available for crew and managers to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Communicate and execute on wage and review programs for crew and managers.
  • Encourage learning, development, and personal growth among staff.
  • Collaborate with Operations Manager and General Managers to establish performance targets and conduct reviews.
  • Assist with recruiting and selecting managers to meet staffing needs.
  • Educate restaurant managers on HR policies, laws, and safety procedures.
  • Partner with Training & HR staff to build capabilities in restaurants.
  • Choose appropriate consulting approaches based on restaurant performance levels.
  • Protect the McDonald's brand by ensuring compliance with operational standards and laws.
  • Demonstrate Customer-First Service by observing operations and taking corrective actions as needed.
  • Teach and coach restaurant managers on executing restaurant systems for high QSC levels.
  • Conduct audits to ensure compliance with McDonald's standard practices.
