About The Position

The MBS Sales and Trading Analyst will support our trading desk and sales team. This role will provide hands on exposure to mortgage trading and research while delivering critical analysis and market support. The analyst will prepare daily reports, presentations and market commentary, with the opportunity to expand into client coverage and trading support.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics or related field.
Series 7 & 63
1-3 years of relevant experience in fixed income or structured products
Strong quantitative and analytical skills; Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to work in a fast paced, team oriented environment.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Bloomberg or similar platforms a plus.

Responsibilities

Run daily spread and regression analysis across MBS and related products.
Prepare daily/weekly reports on OAS, nominal spreads, issuance and market float.
Conduct analysis of servicer performance, prepayment trends and loan level data.
Assist with building presentations, pitchbooks and customized client materials.
Track and summarize regulatory and GSE policy changes impacting MBS markets.
Provide analytics and support for client requests.
Serve as backup to sales and trading.
