About The Position

Cerity Partners Ventures (CPV) is seeking MBA interns to join us for the summer of 2026. Founded as Touchdown Ventures in 2014, CPV pioneered Venture Capital-as-a-Service (VCaaS) for corporations, working with leading brands like Kellogg, T-Mobile, BEHR, and more. With a team of 50+ investment professionals in Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia, and San Francisco, CPV manages more than 20 corporate venture capital funds. This candidate will work closely with the team at Cerity Partners Ventures and be responsible for a variety of investment tasks with a particular emphasis on researching specific industries of interest to the firm, sourcing new investment opportunities, and conducting due diligence. The candidate will have the opportunity to obtain significant venture capital investment experience. We are building something special and are seeking candidates who share our vision and excitement. This position will be based with our team in New York or San Francisco. The application period for this role will close on February 28th.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of work experience
  • First-year MBA student, preferred
  • Detail-oriented and a self-starter who enjoys working in a collegial environment
  • Critical thinking, including superior research and analytical skills
  • Strong competency in Excel – experience with databases & data manipulation is a plus
  • Ability to ‘think outside the box’ – constantly searching for new ways of doing things
  • Excellent writing and presentation (PowerPoint) skills including knowledge of grammar, spelling, and word usage
  • Must be a team player whose superior communication skills facilitate working with entrepreneurs and technical professionals inside and outside the organization
  • Exemplary follow through with minimal supervision
  • Enthusiasm and desire to learn about venture capital
  • Legally qualified to work in the U.S
  • Enthusiasm for venture capital, start-ups and entrepreneurship
  • Willingness to work in a start-up culture

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on sectors of interest to the firm
  • Identify target companies and source attractive investment opportunities
  • Track and report on deal flow generated by our team
  • Assist team in building and maintaining financial models for early and growth-stage investments
  • Evaluate business plans from prospective investment opportunities
  • Assist with due diligence, including supporting and establishing valuation frameworks
