About The Position

As a People Analytics MBA intern, you’ll drive insights and impact across our People (HR) function and all of Databricks. During your 12 week internship, you'll work on impactful projects that drive decisions about how we hire, train, enable, assess, and coach Bricksters - and more. You’ll apply a current-state lens to People processes as they exist today while helping to transform our future. Successful interns may have opportunities for full-time employment in the following year. Throughout the internship, you’ll be mentored by a dedicated sponsor and have the opportunity to connect with senior leaders across the organization.

Requirements

  • Education: Currently pursuing an MBA with a graduation date in Spring 2027.
  • Experience: 3–5 years of professional experience in Business Intelligence, People Analytics, Management Consulting, or a highly analytical operations role.
  • Technical Skills: You have advanced skills in BI tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI) and a strong grasp of SQL. You understand how systems relate to business processes.
  • Ambiguity Navigator: You can recognize and effectively navigate ambiguity with limited direction, turning "messy" data into a clear narrative.
  • Business Acumen: You can identify data gaps in operational processes and propose solutions to close them.
  • Clear Communicator: You are an excellent communicator, with an ability to synthesize complex information into clear, insightful takeaways and action-oriented recommendations.
  • Culture Champion: You are ready to collaborate closely with colleagues and network across functional areas to foster Databricks' cultural values.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Execution: Own the end-to-end outcome for at least one major team-wide initiative (e.g., optimizing a specific People practice or workstream) from data gathering to executive recommendation.
  • Technical Excellence: Develop and enhance our data foundation by building advanced BI dashboards, AI-first conversational interactions, and automated solutions that are scalable and maintainable.
  • SME Partnership: Act as a thought partner to company leaders, translating workforce intelligence into actionable insights that will impact the performance of all Bricksters.
  • Advanced Analytics: Execute complex analysis - including basic forecasting using time-series data - to predict trends in hiring, retention, or employee engagement.
  • Strategic Communication: Convert recurring analysis requests into self-service tools, enabling leaders to make data-driven decisions independently.
