Our insights-driven work spans everything from understanding the DNA of a brand before it is developed into a movie, to immersing production in a fanbase, to testing and optimizing the movie itself, to making sure marketing materials truly speak to and excite consumers. The team is divided into Domestic and International teams, with the International team focusing on custom quantitative and qualitative studies across every major release market to help the studio meet its business goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • A great communicator, a team player, and someone with a deep passion for film. Should also have comfort with synthesizing both qualitative and quantitative information.
  • Strong PC skills: Excel, PowerPoint. Data visualization skills (Tableau) or additional statistics platforms (SPSS) preferred.
  • You must be available to intern full-time (5 days a week/36-40 hours a week) for 10 weeks total starting in June.
  • Interns will be required to work fully on-site for the duration of the program. Note: Paramount does not provide financial relocation support or housing stipends.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis.
  • Employment eligibility to work with Paramount in the United States is required as the company does not engage in sponsorship for internships.

Responsibilities

  • Synthesize large amounts of quantitative data, telling a story based on the insights and succinctly summarizing the results for stakeholders across the studio
  • Write weekly quantitative surveys to field across key global markets, and chart the resulting data to track KPIs including brand awareness, interest, fandom, popularity
  • Research and design custom landscape, genre, and brand positioning studies to help inform production and marketing understanding of international/regional needs and how they could impact film performance
  • Attend and contribute to analysis from screenings and focus groups, building a strong skillset in qualitative analysis
  • Assess and synthesize findings on global market and genre trends in the film industry
