NOV Pressure Control Group is currently recruiting for a CNC Machinist - 2nd Shift with Mazak experience to join our team at 12950 West Little York Road.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of basic math, blueprints, and routers.
  • Knowledge of the proper use of measuring tools/gauges and cutting tools.
  • 5 or more years' relevant experience.
  • Ability to read and understand machine code terminology, G&M codes.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and control computer numerically controlled (CNC) machines, mainly Mazak Intergrex machine tools.
  • Edit and program using Mazatrol and EIA programming.
  • Make setups using engineering drawings and work order instructions.
  • Train new employees and cross-train on other types of machine tools.
  • Produce quality parts on CNC machines in a timely, safe, and efficient manner.
  • Perform set-up changes and first article inspections on production runs.
  • Load parts utilizing overhead lifting equipment and operate controls.
  • Identify problems before production runs and adjust machine controls as required.
  • Read blueprints and job orders to determine dimensions, tolerance, and tooling requirements.
  • Maintain knowledge of dimensions and tolerances for tooling instructions.
  • Prove out new programs and make simple edits of NC programs.
  • Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly.
  • Perform basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment.
  • Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
