About The Position

GDIT has an opportunity for a Maximo Red Hat OpenShift Administrator to support the modernization and sustainment of a large portfolio of enterprise business solutions used by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). The position supports a new program, the NASA Consolidated Applications and Platform Services (NCAPS) which consolidates enterprise-wide applications and platform services across the Agency and supports the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) Application Division transformation into the Application and Platform Service (APS) Line with agile based service delivery and IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) based service management practices.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience administering Kubernetes-based platforms
  • Demonstrated expertise administering Red Hat OpenShift (OCP) in production environments
  • Strong understanding of Kubernetes concepts, including: Cluster lifecycle management (installation, upgrades, patching) Node management, scaling, and high availability Operators, Custom Resource Definitions (CRDs), and Helm charts
  • Experience supporting containerized enterprise applications on OpenShift: Storage (ODF, NFS, block/object storage) Networking (Ingress, Routes, Load Balancers, DNS) Identity providers (LDAP, Active Directory, SSO) Backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies for OpenShift workloads
  • 10 + years of related experience
  • US Citizenship Required

Nice To Haves

  • Direct experience with: Maximo 7.6.1.x → MAS 9 upgrades IBM Cloud Pak deployments IBM licensing models and entitlement management
  • Familiarity with IBM support processes and tooling
  • Performance tuning and capacity planning for OpenShift clusters
  • Automation experience using: Ansible GitOps tools (ArgoCD, Flux) CI/CD pipelines
  • Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration
  • Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
  • Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD)

  • The likely salary range for this position is $97,750 - $132,250.
