About The Position

TEKsystems has partnered with PSU for nearly 15 years, and has had over 350+ engagements with the University. The Facilities Applications Unit within Penn State’s Office of Physical Plant (OPP) has asked TEKsystems for assistance in bringing in a Maximo Functional Administrator on a 6+ month contract engagement to assist with their active transition to IBM Maximo Scheduler. PSU has the largest IBM Maximo implementation in North America. The candidate will have hands-on experience with Maximo Scheduler configuration, implementation, and end-user support (required). Project management experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Maximo Scheduler Implementation & Support
  • Collaborate with the PSU Maximo team to design, configure, and optimize Maximo Scheduler to align with organizational requirements.
  • Monitor implementation progress and provide regular status reports to management.
  • Coordinate with the training team to develop and deliver training materials for end users.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing and ensure functional readiness.
  • Provide post–go-live support to end users, ensuring successful adoption and minimal disruption.
  • Offer guidance, training, and functional expertise to stakeholders in support of Penn State’s strategic business objectives.
  • Maintain the integrity, reliability, and performance of the Maximo application and its associated data.
  • Evaluate new applications or system enhancements and define functional requirements, including design, testing, and implementation activities.
  • Develop and oversee solutions for complex or high-impact issues that may influence university-wide processes or standards.
  • Work independently on strategic initiatives while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across the organization.
