Requirements

  • Must be able to stand and walk for a minimum of 8 hours per day (or longer during overtime) as required.
  • Must be able to lift heavy products or raw materials up to 120 pounds multiple times per hour during an 8-hour shift (or longer during overtime). Heavy loads must be team-lifted.
  • Must maintain production within the specified range to support the integrity of the make-to-order system.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow detailed work instructions and production tickets.
  • Must understand and follow verbal instructions, communicate clearly and respectfully with coworkers and management, and thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing team environment.
  • Safety-focused, fast-paced manufacturing plant engaged in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Work environment includes exposure to high noise levels, hot raw materials, fire-retardant materials, and limited chemicals.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required for any hazards and is provided by the company.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience with pneumatic tools and/or in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble mattresses according to established work instructions using a variety of pneumatic tools, including c-ring hog-ring guns, staple guns, and hot glue guns.
  • Operate bonding machines for assembly
  • Perform foam encasing and complete final mattress assembly.
  • Inspect mattress components and finished units for structural defects, quality issues, or unacceptable flaws.
  • Ensure all assembly steps meet quality and safety standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to support efficient production.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot assembly or quality issues as they arise.
  • Follow all safety protocols and report any unsafe conditions or equipment malfunctions.
