About The Position

Taurex is a PDC drill bit company focused on advancing drill bit performance through automation and AI technologies. The company's BitVision technologies enhance learning speed and accuracy in the drilling process, setting new standards in the industry. This is a full-time on-site role as a Matrix Repair/Hard Facing specialist located in Conroe, TX. Responsibilities include repairing and applying hard-facing materials to matrix body PDC drill bits, ensuring their optimal performance and longevity.

Requirements

Experience in matrix body PDC drill bit repair and hard-facing application
Knowledge of welding techniques and hard-facing materials
Attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a team
Must be able to pass a drug test and background check

Responsibilities

Responsible for the hard facing new steel bit bodies
Responsible for the rebuilding of bit bodies through various methods and applications of matrix repair ensuring this meet Taurex standards
Responsible for the maintenance of equipment needed for matrix repair
Blast and inspection of bits before matrix repair begins
Monitor preheat temperatures and controllers
Accurately follow paperwork to to identify parts of bit that needs repairs
De-brazing MIG hard face welding, TIG hard face welding, flame spray, roping and Kutrite
Grinding and shaping
Works in a clean organized manner
Participants in any training as needed
Promotes respect for operating procedures and adherence to safety protocol and regulations.
Perform other duties as required by management
