Job Summary Plans, schedules and monitors inbound movement of materials from suppliers | Determines material requirements and coordinates the efficient movement of materials with purchasing, production and engineering | Develops specifications for new contract orders Impact of the Role General Profile Requires conceptual knowledge of theories, practices, and procedures within a job discipline Performs routine assignments using existing procedures Receives instruction, guidance and direction from more senior level roles Entry level to a professional career progression Consistent exercise of discretion & judgment

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree and 0-3 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

  • Provides support by planning and tracking material needed for production schedules.
  • Monitors inventory levels and coordinates with purchasing to maintain adequate levels of parts and raw materials to manufacture products.
  • Works to resolve and takes corrective action for materials issues impacting production schedules while achieving and maintaining inventory business metrics.
  • Analyze, plans, schedules, and initiates procurement actions.
  • Ensures materials are cost effective.
  • Assists in determining and ensuring the quality of materials.
  • Executes material that requires outside processing.
