This appointment carries an initial two-year probationary appointment beginning with the 2025/2026 academic year, on August 18, 2025. Earned doctorate in the area of data science, statistics, applied mathematics, mathematics, or related field required by August 18, 2025. The successful applicant will present evidence of teaching excellence at the undergraduate level. demonstrate potential to teach data science courses involving Python at the undergraduate and master’s level. demonstrate ability to teach a wide range of undergraduate mathematics and/or statistics courses, both for majors and non-majors. exhibit potential to establish a research program involving undergraduate research. exhibit potential to contribute service to the Department, University, community, and profession. possess a commitment to equity and inclusiveness in teaching.
