Delta College is seeking a dedicated and innovative Mathematics Instructor for a full-time, tenure-track position. Candidates for this position must understand the transformative role community colleges play in changing lives and society. The ideal candidate will possess a belief in continuous improvement in pedagogy and relationships with students, faculty, and staff, and will be energized by the community college pathways and inclusivity/equity initiatives. In this role, the instructor will be responsible for teaching a variety of mathematics courses, including college algebra, statistics, pre-calculus, and calculus, across different modalities such as traditional classroom settings, online asynchronous, online synchronous, or hybrid formats. The successful candidate will establish and promote an inclusive and effective learning environment that maximizes student learning and success. This includes a commitment to fostering an environment of belonging, diversity, equity, and inclusion, as well as developing innovative and engaging learning experiences that support student achievement. The faculty member will be expected to teach at least 30 equated credit hours annually and may be assigned to various locations, including the main campus, Saginaw Center, Midland Center, or online. The position requires a focus on supporting and assessing student learning and academic achievement, ensuring that all students have the opportunity to succeed.
