About The Position

This position is a 10-month exempt role within the Charles County Public Schools. The job entails planning and providing appropriate learning experiences for students, supervising them in various school-related settings, and monitoring and evaluating student outcomes. The educator will communicate and interact with students, parents, staff, and the community, while developing and modifying instructional plans to meet the needs of all students. The role also includes maintaining records, monitoring the use of equipment, and serving on special committees as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher and meets certification requirements as established by the Maryland State Department of Education.
• Other experience as established by Maryland Law and Board of Education policy.
• Knowledge of subject matter and appropriate instructional methodologies.
• Evidence of exemplary human relation skills.
• Evidence of exemplary organizational and planning skills.
• Evidence of ability to work effectively with students, parents, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Monitors appropriate use and care of equipment, materials, and facilities.
• Maintains regular, on-time attendance.
• Serves on special committees.
• Assists students in developing critical-thinking abilities by gaining an understanding of Mathematic concepts.
