About The Position

Mathematics Teacher Christiansburg High School School Year 2026-27 Do you have a passion for numbers and teaching the world of math to high school students? Montgomery County Public Schools in Virginia is now accepting applications for a high school mathematics teaching position that is available at Christiansburg High School for the 2026 – 2027 school year. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: To develop and implement an instructional program that will effectively provide the best possible education for each student.

Requirements

• Hold or be eligible for a Virginia Teacher’s License with the appropriate endorsement to teach Mathematics at the high school level
• Develop and implement effective lesson plans and curriculum materials
• Possess ability to effectively assess student learning and use results to plan and implement appropriate instruction
• Integrate technology into classroom instruction to enhance learning
• Utilize Google Drive for instructional purposes, collaboration, and managing coursework
• Create and maintain an inclusive, supportive learning environment that respects the diverse backgrounds and needs of all students
• Communicate effectively with strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Engage and collaborate effectively with parents and families
• Collaborate with other teachers and contribute to a positive team environment
• Demonstrate dependability, punctuality, and reliability in fulfilling responsibilities

Nice To Haves

• Hold a master’s degree in Education and/or the specific subject area
• Hold at least 18 graduate semester hours in Mathematics
• Possess endorsement to teach dual enrollment courses
