About The Position

The Cumberland Valley School District is seeking a highly qualified and student-centered Mathematics Teacher for Mountain View Middle School. The successful candidate will deliver rigorous, standards-aligned instruction that supports student achievement and fosters critical thinking, problem solving, and mathematical reasoning. This position requires a commitment to collaboration, continuous professional growth, and meeting the diverse learning needs of all students. The professional candidate(s) selected for this assignment understands and agrees that they may be required to teach in a blended or online format as requested by administration.

Requirements

  • Active and valid Middle Level Mathematics (4-8) or Secondary (7-12) Mathematics Pennsylvania Teaching Certification
  • Strong content knowledge and instructional skills in secondary mathematics
  • Experience differentiating instruction to meet diverse learner needs
  • Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and staff
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with standards-based grading, data analysis, or instructional technology is preferred

  • Participating in professional development and school-based initiatives
  • Thorough knowledge of the physical and psychological aspects of secondary school aged children
