About The Position

The Mathematics and Engineering Department at Jefferson Community College is seeking part-time adjunct faculty to grow our adjunct pool. Instructors are sought in the areas of developmental mathematics and algebra, mathematics for preservice teachers, and statistics.

Requirements

• Master's Degree or higher in Mathematics, Statistics, or Mathematics Education
• Experience and willingness to teach online
• Interest and/or experience in involving students in research
• Ability to motivate students from diverse backgrounds
• Effective interaction and communication with diverse populations
• Fostering inclusion and promoting equal access and treatment for under-represented groups in higher education
• In extraordinary cases, a bachelor's degree in mathematics or statistics may be sufficient to fill a vacancy.

Benefits

• Level A - $665/credit hour
• Level B - $785/credit hour after teaching 6 semesters at Jefferson.
