Requirements

  • Master's degree or higher in Mathematics or a related field, or a Master's degree in any field with 18 graduate credit hours in relevant subjects.
  • Four or more years of mathematics teaching experience at the high school or college level.
  • Experience teaching a variety of college-level mathematics courses such as College Mathematics, College Algebra, Precalculus, Trigonometry, and Calculus.

  • Evidence of student-centered interactive pedagogies to support diverse learning styles.
  • Evidence of collaboration with mathematics faculty and participation in professional organizations.
  • Experience using educational technology and Learning Management Systems like Canvas or Blackboard.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, instruct, evaluate, and monitor learning of a diverse population of students in classroom or online settings.
  • Review, revise, and develop curriculum for mathematics courses.
  • Support and mentor adjunct faculty while maintaining office hours to assist and advise students.
  • Participate in service to the college that contributes to student learning, including involvement in committees and initiatives.
  • Develop and enhance knowledge of subject matter and stay current with trends in mathematics education through professional development activities.
