Requirements

• Teaching experience in mathematics, statistics, or quantitative reasoning.

• Specific experience in teaching Quantitative Reasoning or Statistics.

Responsibilities

• Participate actively in department meetings and curriculum planning to maintain high academic standards.
• Plan lessons thoroughly on a daily, weekly, and semester basis to implement established curriculum.
• Develop and maintain course outlines, updating them annually to reflect relevant content.
• Teach 33-35 credit hours per academic year, primarily in Quantitative Reasoning and Statistics.
• Utilize diverse teaching methods that consider identities and individual learning styles.
• Regularly assess student learning through various techniques, ensuring alignment with learning outcomes.
• Develop and distribute contemporary syllabi that outline availability, course goals, and expectations.
• Advise students on academic programs, transfer, career goals, and course selections.
• Serve as Lead Faculty for specific mathematics courses as assigned, overseeing course materials and assessments.
• Work effectively with colleagues in a team environment to support student learning and success.
• Engage in professional development activities to enhance teaching effectiveness.
• Actively support the College's mission and participate in community outreach.
