About The Position

The Mathematics Adjunct Faculty position involves teaching evening courses in Developmental Mathematics, Algebra, Statistics, Discrete Mathematics, and all levels of Calculus for the Spring 2026 semester. Faculty members are responsible for delivering courses as assigned, ensuring adherence to the course syllabus and catalog descriptions, and incorporating interactive teaching methods and technologies. The role requires a commitment to diversity and the integration of various educational resources into the curriculum.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in the discipline required.
  • Some teaching experience is required.
  • Unofficial college transcripts must be submitted prior to interview.

Nice To Haves

  • Teaching experience at the community college level.
  • Certification or license as needed and appropriate.

Responsibilities

  • Teach assigned courses in accordance with the course syllabus and schedule.
  • Incorporate diverse lifestyles, cultures, and national perspectives into courses.
  • Utilize library resources, writing, and technology in teaching.
  • Meet all scheduled class meetings and advise the Division Dean/Assistant Dean of absences.
  • Maintain accurate grade and attendance records and submit reports to the Dean/Assistant Dean or Student Records Office.
  • Submit grades by the published deadline.
  • Participate in the assessment of learning outcomes and use results for course planning.
  • Plan in advance for supplies, textbooks, and classroom equipment.
  • Submit progress reports on students and discuss issues with counselors.
  • Adhere to College policies and procedures.
