About The Position

Mathnasium of Ladera Ranch is a Math Learning Center located in Southern California, providing educational and tutoring services for students from elementary through high school math. We are an established and thriving center where students and staff are supported, encouraged, and most importantly, have fun while learning and teaching math. This position is for a part-time instructor role with flexible hours, focusing on teaching students from elementary through high school math. Training will be provided to ensure instructors are well-prepared to deliver quality education.

Requirements

• A passion for math and working with students from early elementary through high school math in the center
• Confident and comfortable with math through Algebra 2
• Complete a math instructor test to show knowledge of prerequisite math skills at the center
• Excellent interpersonal skills and willing to learn and be trained
• Available and willing to commute to work within a 30 minute radius to the center at 1701 Corporate drive, Ladera Ranch, CA 92694
• Available and willing to work during center hours 2-7 pm for a minimum of 2 weekdays Mon-Thur for 3 hours minimum
• Available and willing to work through the 2024/2025 school year

• Preferred applicants are currently college students or graduates
• Considered applicants are currently Junior and Senior High school students

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction/tutoring services for early elementary through high school math
• Teach with the Mathnasium Method, terminology, and teaching practices
• Work with team members to provide an excellent experience for students
• Assist with non-teaching/instructional tasks

Benefits

• Hourly Wage $18.00 to $25.00+ /hour (experience may increase starting pay)
