Mathnasium is dedicated to changing lives through math, and we are currently seeking exceptional tutors to join our Temple Center team. As a Mathnasium instructor, you will be a motivated, responsible, and passionate math expert who plays a crucial role in helping students build number sense, boost their confidence, and gain a deep understanding of math concepts. Your primary responsibilities will include creating a positive, engaging, and fun learning environment, learning and implementing the Mathnasium curriculum and teaching methods, and participating in ongoing training to enhance your skills and effectiveness as a tutor. In this part-time role, you will have the opportunity to tutor students in math across all grade levels, from 1 to 12. The position offers a consistent and flexible schedule, averaging 8-12 hours per week. You will not need to plan lessons or assign homework, allowing you to focus entirely on teaching and supporting your students. The pay starts at $14.00 per hour during the initial training period of approximately four weeks, with a raise to $15.00 per hour after training completion, and an additional increase of $0.50 with further training. We are looking for individuals who are at least 16 years old and plan to work with us for a minimum of nine months. While experience in tutoring or working with children in grades 1-12 is preferred, it is essential that you possess math proficiency through Algebra 2, with Pre-Calculus or Calculus being a plus. The application process includes completing a mobile-friendly online application, scheduling an in-center employment test covering basic math through Algebra 2 and Geometry, and participating in an interview with our Center Director and Personnel Director if you meet the benchmark score of 85% on the test. Join us at Mathnasium, where you can learn, grow, and make a significant impact on students' lives.
