Responsive recruiter Math Tutor / Instructor PART TIME Position at Mathnasium of East Wichita About Mathnasium. Our mission is to make math make sense. Requirements
- Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra 1 ( higher is preferred).
- You must pass a math competency exam prior to being hired.
- A passion for working with students.
- Excellent interpersonal skills. We are looking for an outgoing person.
- Excellent verbal communication skills. Spoken English must be clear, distinct, and easily understood.
- Must be comfortable with digital technology.
- Instructors must have a cell phone or similar device.
- Able/willing to work on site. This is not a remote position.
- Applicants should be looking for JUST a Part Time job.
- If you are ALSO looking for a Full Time position, please do not apply.
Nice To Haves
- Any kind of prior experience with children is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional math instruction using Mathnasium teaching materials.
- Assess student progress
- Evaluate and correct student work and math homework
- Provide individual student instruction in a group setting.
- Assist with occasional non-teaching/instructional tasks
