About The Position

Diamond Grove Center is searching for a skilled and experienced Math Teacher for our Education Department.We are looking for a committed teacher who will be responsible for implementing a full educational teaching plan according to the school’s requirements. The ideal candidate will be passionate for the job with an ability to reach students and create a relationship of mutual trust. This is a fulltime position hours consisting of 8:00am-4:30pm, Monday thru Friday. Diamond Grove Center is a 61 bed, behavioral psychiatric hospital located in the beautifu neighborhood of Louisville, Miss. Diamond Grove Center features individual units for children,adolescents, and offers inpatient care acute care, as well as residential treatment for adolescents. Onaverage 1000 patients receive care from our compassionate health care team each year at DiamondGrove Center Hospital.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's /Master's Degree from an acredited four-year college or university in the subject area to be taught (Special Education) and possession of a valid MS"A" teaching certificate in the subject are to be taught as required by the Department of Eduication and agree to obtain the EmD Certification within one year from the hired date.
• Current Crisis Prevention Intervention(CPI) certification; current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation(CPR) certification.
• Must be mobile throughout the facility, be able to withstand noise, potential aggression, able to maintain and manage difficult adoloscents/children; occasional esposure to stressful situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized instruction usin Edgenuity Courseware and MyPath.
• Ability to maintain a calm demenar during tense siturations.
• Plan and execute education in-class and outdoor activities.
• Provide targeted interventions designed by Edgenuity.
• Write Individualized Education Plans and Service P;ans
• Document student behavior on Q-15 Sheets
• Maintain a safe learning environment
• Perform other duties as assigned/required by this position.
