About The Position

Cristo Rey Jesuit High School, a Jesuit, college-preparatory, co-educational school for grades 9-12 seeks a Math Teacher for the 2026-27 school year. The successful candidate will have a commitment to Catholic education and a willingness to work with a population of diverse learners. Additionally, the teacher is dedicated to developing the whole person in academics, religious growth, and commitment to others. The candidate will be responsible for teaching five sections within the Math department, subjects commensurate with experience and staffing needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in the subject area required
• Illinois Professional Educator License preferred (non-licensed applicants must be willing to obtain certification within five years)
• Minimum of two years of successful secondary-level teaching experience preferred
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Alignment with the mission and values of Cristo Rey Jesuit High School and a demonstrated ability to effectively support the academic and personal growth of students
• Understanding of educational theory and practice
• Ability to use technology inside and outside the classroom
• Commitment to working with a diverse student body
• Willingness to collaborate with others
• Familiarity with current instructional methodologies
• Classroom management skills

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree preferred
• Opportunity available to serve as Math Department Chair for qualified candidates
• Familiarity with Spanish language and first-generation students preferred.
