About The Position

Bishop Dunne Catholic School is seeking a highly qualified Math Teacher for the 2026-2027 academic year . As the only diocesan Catholic school serving students in grades six through twelve, Bishop Dunne is proud to reflect the rich diversity of Dallas. More than 75% of our students identify as students of color, and approximately half are Catholic. The ideal candidate is a dedicated educator who understands both the rewards and demands of teaching at the secondary level and who possesses a strong command of mathematical content. Teachers at Bishop Dunne are responsible for designing daily lessons aligned with course goals, assessing student work, maintaining accurate records, leading an advisory group, and fulling standard administrative responsibilities, including attendance, gradebook management, and narrative comments. This position reports to the Principal and carries decision-making responsibility with established school policies, philosophy, and curriculum. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mathematics or at least 18 graduate credits in math from an accredited institution required
• Minimum of 12 education credits required
• Ability to pass all background checks and comply with the Diocese of Dallas Safe Environment Program
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Excellent active listening, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships across the school and community
• Proficiency with instructional technology and related professional tools

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree preferred
• A valid Texas teaching certificate with appropriate mathematics endorsements and AP College Board certification are preferred.
• Demonstrated experience teaching students in grades 6-12; AP experience strongly preferred.
