About The Position

Edgewood ISD is seeking a dedicated, knowledgeable individual to join our team as a High School Math Teacher. This position requires a passion for teaching, a deep understanding of the assigned subject matter, and the ability to inspire and motivate students. We are a 3A school district located just east of Dallas on Highway 80. Edgewood ISD is committed to academic excellence with strong community support and well-supported, well-funded classrooms.

Requirements

Knowledge of the core academic subject assigned
Knowledge of curriculum and instruction
Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements

Responsibilities

Develop and implement standards-aligned lesson plans using effective instructional strategies, technology, and accommodations to meet diverse student needs.
Conduct ongoing formal and informal assessments to monitor achievement, adjust instruction, and support individual learning styles, including IEP modifications.
Create a safe, positive, and structured learning environment that supports students’ academic, physical, social, and emotional development, while managing behavior in accordance with district guidelines.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, special education staff, parents, and community members to support instructional goals and maintain open, professional communication.
Participate in staff development, fulfill extracurricular and committee duties, maintain required documentation, and comply with district, state, and board policies.
