About The Position
The Math, Sciences, & Health Services division at McHenry County College is seeking qualified candidates for the Adjunct Faculty position for the academic year 2024/2025. This role is designed for higher-education professionals who are passionate about student learning and engagement. As an adjunct instructor, you will be responsible for teaching assigned classes in accordance with established learning objectives and the Concourse syllabus. You will employ innovative teaching strategies to engage students and foster a dynamic learning environment. In this position, you will develop and manage course materials, including syllabi and assignments, and provide constructive feedback to students on their performance. You will be expected to maintain accurate records of grades and attendance, as well as submit required reports on student assessments. Your role will also involve utilizing educational technology, such as the Canvas course management platform, to enhance the learning experience. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with colleagues within the department and across the college to promote educational excellence. Staying current in your professional field is essential, and you will be encouraged to participate in college committees and community outreach to help attract future students. This adjunct pool will remain active until May 31, 2025, providing a unique opportunity to contribute to the academic community at McHenry County College.
