The Math Lab Consultant position is a part-time role within the Learning Resources department at Lake Michigan College. The consultant provides support to all students enrolled in LMC Math courses, ensuring they receive the necessary assistance to succeed in their studies. This role involves direct interaction with students, offering tutoring and learning assistance for both co-requisite and college-level math courses. The consultant will also be responsible for teaching assigned Mathematics Lab courses, developing and hosting workshops in collaboration with math faculty, and serving as a resource for students navigating guided self-placement and distance education math courses. Additionally, the consultant will assist students needing math remediation using software such as Aleks.
