About The Position

The Long Term Substitute Math Interventionist will perform instructional and administrative duties essential to math curriculum, instruction, and intervention in grades K-6. Assess the math strengths and needs of students, provide that information to parents and educational staff, and use the results to support the planning and implementation of an effective intervention program for K-6 students Work with teachers to examine data and monitor student progress, and assist teachers in use of data to inform instruction (e.g., grouping, identifying students for supplemental instruction or intensive interventions). Collaborate with teachers, the Principal, the Math Curriculum Coordinator, and the Director of Teaching and Learning to select students in need of math intervention Provide math intervention to small groups of students who are struggling with math using proven curricular materials Complete necessary Title I paperwork Communicate with families as needed and through the completion of midyear progress reports for Title I math students Performs such tasks and takes on additional responsibilities as may be directed by the Director of Teaching and Learning to ensure a positive learning environment for all students and the smooth operation of the school SSCPS is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
